"I brought my car there for some idle issues. Kent the owner diagnosed the issue promptly and had my car running like new in no time. When he gave me the invoice, I was surprised at how reasonable the repair was..... HIGHY RECOMEND!!"

"Always had a good experience with European auto. Great people, honest work, price is a little steep for some, but the work is always done well from my past experience which is what matters most. Kent is a good guy to work with and all of his co workers are skilled and know what they are doing. Very rare to find in upstate NY"

"I have the very good fortune (as the result of extensive research) to have "found" European Autohaus. Kent, the owner, is extremely honest and fair when it comes to any repair recommendations & required preventative maintenance, with regards to my Mini Cooper. My areas of expertise do not pertain to automobiles. I need to be able to rely on knowledgeable people ~ whom I trust; which I can comfortably do so, at EAh. The feeling I get when I leave the shop is utter satisfaction; knowing that the 'job' has been well done and that my safety is taken care of. I never worry that my car will breakdown or that it won't start. That feeling has tremendous value Thank you Kent for providing such a fantastic service to the community"

"I am so disgusted with my experience at European Autohaus I have included photographic evidence proving the outlandish, manipulative, cheating tactics of owner/operator Kent Becker. On 07/01/2020 I brought my 2011 BMW X5 50I to European Autohaus for a diagnostic related to a constant misfire on one cylinder, lets keep in mind this vehicle retails for $75 to $100 thousand dollars when new. Kent instructed a tech, or performed himself, a hobbyist mechanic procedure to determine which cylinder is misfiring (swapping spark plugs and coil packs to other cylinders to see if the misfire moves from one cylinder to another) Additionally Kent/tech tested one spark plug for spark. Lastly Kent or tech compression tested one cylinder. His report conclusively stated that my vehicle has a valve related issue, may it be Carbon/Sludge buildup or actual physical damage to the valves. Any further diagnosis would require engine REMOVAL. He quoted a MINIMUM of $5,000.00. The cost of this current invoice is $933.72 (see photos) After conversing with Kent his suggestion is to list my vehicle for sale at the price of $1,000.00 and if I got $600 to take it and RUN, RUN FAST!! (One headlight used is selling for $750.00 on eBay) I trusted Kent and paid the invoice. Almost forgot, now my vehicle is misfiring violently on 3 to 4 different cylinders and is barley drivable. Weary of this report, I had a second shop diagnose my vehicle. This is where the fun starts. 3 hours after dropping my vehicle off, I received a call from second shop. All spark plugs and coil packs had to be replaced for any further diagnosis, however the tech stated it is extremely unlikely that I will still have a misfire. I can pick up car as is for $99.00 or have the repair performed for a total of $811.00 I told the tech to go ahead with the repair. 3 days later I received a call from second shop. I am all set! no more misfire no more engine lights, the car is running fantastic. As promised the invoice is $811.00 plus tax. I immediately picked up my now inspected X5 and drove to Manhattan the same day, flawless NO issues of any kind. My son took it to New Hampshire 2 days later, trailer in tow, 450 miles round trip absolutely perfect. I could go on and on. I could express more detail regarding Kents behavior that would make your stomach curl. In 2019 I brought my X5 to Kent for a coolant leak he admittedly was unable to fix, but still charged me in excess of $1800.00 I suggest viewing submitted photos for this review. Kent manipulated, cheated, lied, and conned me just for a few thousand dollars, DO NOT become his next mark. Want to talk to me about this? Terrychabot500@gmail.com Kent, may god have mercy for your develish ways, I pray for you."

"Worth the investment! I purchased my first used Audi at another dealership in 2012 with an oral (not written) guarantee for one year. After four years bringing it to other mechanics in the Plattsburgh area, it still continuously had the same issues. Every other mechanic seemed very confident in what they did, but problems would only disappear for a short period of time only to return. I wasted a LOT of money trying to save money. Finally, I brought the car to the Autohaus in 2016 after being told by another mechanic that it had "jumped time" and to get rid of the car. Bottom line: European Autohaus fixed the car after four years where other so-called "experts" had failed. In addition, they identified some issues (one serious and dangerous) that had been created by other mechanics in their attempt to "fix" the car. I still drive the Audi and also purchased a BMW through the Autohaus . I now own two beautiful German cars that run well and are repaired properly. I will never bring my cars anywhere else again. If you buy a rocket ship, expect to pay for maintaining it. These are sophisticated machines and require expert TLC to maintain. The payoff is that you have a safe luxury car that will last many years while the Hyundais and Kias are in the scrap yard. p.s. - the negative reviews seem to generally be people that are starstruck and buy a good looking used car with issues that they cannot afford to fix. I bet the $50.00 repair job will turn out to be a waste of money in a short period of time."
