"A lot of bad reviews on this Post Office. In 10 years I've never had any mail delivery troubles beyond what's to be expected under normal circumstances. For the last 2 years I've worked a little closer with them since I run a mail order business. In that time I've noticed the workers are quite experienced and friendly. They really go out of their way sometimes to make sure people get mail. They know most areas well enough, even if a package is marked wrong they can find the recipient. Some of the carriers stop to say hi or give me mail if they see me in the lot since they recognize me now. I am taking a point for the phone service. I know the place is super busy and understaffed but, still gotta answer that phone even if you need to hire somebody to do so. Driving down the street is annoying if I have a question that can't be answered via the automated system."

"The postal person continues to put packages out in the weather instead of actually under the porch roof. Just came home to two packages that were thoroughly soaked from the weather. Another foot under the roof and they would’ve been safe from the weather. That is just poor customer service!"

"PO has to be the worst in this state for over a year every time I have a package that needs to be delivered on a Sunday I get unable to deliver driveway not excess able or whatever excuse USPS driver uses that day several times I’ve waited for delivery and several times receive this message never once has driver been in my yard but yet I never have an issue with receiving my package during the week days I complained get told to call this number or that number when call PO no one ever answers the phone their service is the worst"

"I have lived in Oakland, Maine, for over 33 years, and have found all the Oakland postal workers I've met to be very helpful, competent, and diligent. They serve the community well, and have often gone out of their way to be helpful. If there have been any mistakes, they have been taken care of. No one is perfect, and I appreciate their vital service."

"This PO is the worst in the state. 30 years here on Deer Run and terrible service and even worse customer service. The town plow knocked my mailbox down and rather than bring a package to the front porch, as they have HUNDREDS of time, the do not deliver it! When my wife went to ask at the PO, the clerk had NO IDEA what she was talking about and provided ZERO assistance in helping! I have had packages brought to my door many times when they were a little to large for the box. Just because the package would fit in the mailbox, they do not deliver it because they are too lazy to walk 20 feet? This is the 3rd time they did not deliver the package and I still have not got it. Maybe if it happened to you, you might try to fix the problem with your carriers."
