"We are on a road trip and chose to stop at Kennebunk to eat and stay. We are so glad we did. This town has so many boutiques and is so cute. The cottage is gorgeous. The landscape is beautiful. The staff were so kind. My diet is gluten free and they made sure I had a muffin I could eat. If I'm ever back this way, I will intentionally book here."

"We recently stayed 4 nights at the Wanderer and quickly fell in love with its cozy cottages and its staff. We reserved a one-bedroom cottage which was plenty of room for two of us and just as charming as it appeared online. The owner and his team have an eye for detail and keep the grounds meticulous. Everyone is so hospitable and go above and beyond with so many extras throughout the stay: Continental breakfast delivered to the cottage, evening fires with smores kits, and even a parting gift. We took advantage of the bikes to ride into town (Kennebunkport) and borrowed a beach parking permit for easy parking at the beach. It was sunny but cool during our visit so we didn't use the pool but it was kept very clean and there was a little cabana filled with sunscreen and other outdoor-related sundries. We live on the west coast but have been to Maine several times but this was our first visit to Kennebunkport area. We hope to return next year and will definitely stay at the Wanderer Cottages again!"

"I was excited for our stay at the Wanderer Cottages, and was completely blown away when we checked in! They completely exceeded our expectations in every way - we were greeted upon check in with delicious cocktails and warm cookies (and they were great at communicating ahead of time to confirm check in time to ensure someone was there to get us in or if they needed to send digital instructions), and the property is simply beyond charming! We didn't use the pool since it was too chilly, but loved roasting s'mores over the fire pit and chatting with our cabin neighbors. The cabins are small (plan accordingly - don't overpack and it's truly just room for two), but the decor is refreshingly modern and coastal, the bed is cozy, and the bathrooms have everything you could need! They deliver breakfast to your porch every morning which is such a thoughtful touch and even give you a departing gift for the road when you check out! It's extremely quiet and just a quick drive to Kennebunkport (you can even bike if you'd like). My only regret was that we were only there for one night! Would have loved to stay longer and enjoy this incredible property to its fullest!"

"Wanderer Cottages in Kennebunkport deserves nothing less than a five-star rating. The chic decor in these cottages creates a warm, inviting ambiance that blends modern elegance with coastal charm. The staff's exceptional helpfulness and friendliness make you feel like a valued guest throughout your stay. The cottages themselves are not only beautifully decorated but also spotlessly clean and incredibly cozy, providing a perfect retreat after exploring Kennebunkport. The extra amenities are a standout feature, from the fire pit and heated salt pool to the convenient breakfast delivery and complimentary cocktail hour. The free bike usage and beach parking passes add to the overall convenience. For a memorable coastal getaway, Wanderer Cottages is the place to be."

"This is an overdue review (we stayed her at the end of July) but so well deserved. All I can say is go. Just go (although I will hate if this place gets so popular that we can't get in!) We have vacationed in Kennebunkport for years. This was our best experience. We arrived around 3:30 and upon check in to the well decorated reception area, we were offered cocktails and feshly baked cookies (they do this daily from 3-5 I believe). We sat outside in the rocking chairs and soaked in the beauty of this place, while Mark chatted with us - welcoming us to the property. We stayed in dog friendly cottage #2 with our cavapoo. Before leaving the reception area, we were handed a gift bag for the dog which included some treats and a chew toy (seriously...they think of everything!) Yes, they are small cottages - but WOW they are adorable. Beachy, cottage-y, vintage-y...they have such a cool vibe! We unpacked and found all the nooks and crannys to store clothes (shoes under the dresser, hanging clothes on back of door, etc) and went out to enjoy the pool. Again, they think of everything. The pool has sunscreen available, towels, a water station, floats and beautiful lounge chairs. The next day we easily checked out bikes and beach chairs and took a ride to Mothers Beach. We loved this convenience...as anyone familiar with the area knows that parking can be tough there in the summer. Sadly, it rained at night while we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the firepit (they even have s'mores kits available!) but it looked great and we'll definitely take part on our next visit. Now...we had casually mentioned upon check in that we were there for our anniversary. We didn't think anyone even really took note of this. The second day, after returning from being out - we walked into our room to find a bottle of Prosecco with a lovely handwritten note wishing us well. Amazing and so thoughtful! We were blown away. My only suggestion seems almost silly to mention with how much we love the place- but numerous hooks hanging around the rooms and in the bathroom would be a fabulous addition. It would provide the much needed spots to hang garments and towels. Having said that, even if they never did this - the place is wonderful. Oh...did I mention that they drop off breakfast every morning in these adorable bags too?! Muffins, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and juice. You can make coffee at the well appointed coffee bar in each cabin if you want that too. We couldn't wait to go back. In fact, we booked a room in September shortly after leaving. We're looking forward to being there for another fantastic experience with Mark and his great crew in a few weeks!"
