"My wife and I had a delightful time at the historic Waldo Emerson Inn. The back half was built in 1753 and the front half in the 1780, yet this historic home had all the conveniences of the modern world: snug windows, heated bathroom floor, and easy to control heating. The B&B was originally the home of the great-uncle of Ralph Waldo Emerson. One of our favorite times were breakfast. Amelia, our hostess, is a great cook and so much fun to be around. While we stayed 11 days, the variety of breakfasts never ceased. The ground floor has two sitting areas for guest to gather. One is the living room with fresh baked cookies and a fireplace. The other is a room has a a refrigerator with softdrinks and wine on the honor system. Help yourslef, but sign for the wine and it is added to the room tab. One the first floor landing is a coffee maker with teas, an assortment of coffee and hot chocolate. Self-service. Handy any any time of day or night. The structure is along a road with the most historic home in the Kennebunk area. Often the historic homes of ship builders and sea captains from the 18th century. The is convenient off road parking. So that's never a problem. It is a place the immediately feels like home. We would gladly stay there again. In fact, we are looking forward to it."

"The Waldo Emerson Inn has quickly become my favorite B&B and I go to tons. It is absolutely lovely. The owners have done a wonderful job renovating this historic inn down to the smallest detail. The rooms are spacious and oh so comfy. They have a Nespresso machine! And Kcup coffeemaker, and yummy cookies and snacks throughout. They have a couple of lovely communal salon/lounge rooms. They even offer wine and beer for purchase, super convient and nice selection -- Alamos Malbec which is our go to red. They made a wonderful breakfast to start us off and we enjoyed meeting our fellow travelers in the welcoming atmosphere. The location is absolutely perfect nestled between downtown Kennebunk and downtown Kennebunkport. I highly recommend this fantastic Inn. We will return!"

"Quite literally one of the most charming inns, with quite a bit of history. I love that it’s not in the heart of the downtown with all the noise. The entire inn was spotless. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were a really nice quality. The owners cooked-up an incredible breakfast and were both so gracious. This was such a nice touch. Looking forward to going back."

"Ron and Amelia were so wonderful and helped make this a truly special weekend for us. Fantastic service, and a beautiful room— plus a delicious breakfast and borrowed bicycles for going into town. We felt incredibly welcomed here, I highly recommend a visit!"

"Everything was as expected and the Innkeepers were nice. The house and rooms were sparkling clean. Breakfast was perfect and we enjoyed talking with others also staying there. The location is good however, parking in town can be a problem and its too far to walk so cabs are recommended during busy times. We enjoyed our stay at the Waldo Emerson Inn."
