"We visited Karleen's Ideas Gift Shop last week while on vacation in Kennebunkport. Wow! What an amazing store! There were a huge amount of unique items on sale, with something for everyone. If you're looking for a store to find gifts for friends, colleagues, acquaintances, etc. this is the place! Items looked extremely well made, were totally different from anything we'd seen before in retail stores and we spent quite a while looking as there was so much available! Think unique jewelry; know someone in medicine? Get them a set of anatomically correct heart cufflinks! Get someone a pair of plaid moose earrings. Karleen was extremely sweet, and we learned the proceeds from purchases directly help those with autism. What's not to love! We were thrilled to learn that Karleen has an Etsy store (Karleensideas), so we can buy online when we're back home."
"Perhaps a brief sign on the door explaining the mask situation would be better than the owner rudely telling customers "make sure you keep your masks on." This is what my sister and I encountered and were so uncomfortable we left the store right away. P.S we were fully masked when we walked in."

"This was the only store in kennebunkport that wasn't welcoming. Social distancing is a delicate balance and this store was blatantly turning customers away due to fear of the pandemic and made a very unwelcoming atmosphere. What could have been a nice shop was ruined by the negative energy."
"Stopped here recently on a day trip to Maine. This was the best shop we found, there are many beautiful handmade items, as well as educational books and toys. I bought some well made face masks and some beautiful jewelry for a friend. The young man running the shop was very helpful and friendly."
