Caveau

"My wife and I went to Caveau for the first time last week. The food was delicious, the drinks were great and the service was attentive! (although we arrived at 6pm and was one of the only tables) The decor of the venue was really creative and interesting to look at. This would have been a 5 star review but I've removed a star for the music. When we arrived the music was a good selection and a very reasonable level. Once the DJ got setup (maybe 730pm?) the DJ started playing some of the worst selection of music I've ever heard. That hurried up our stay and we left shortly after that. The food and drinks are quite expensive, but I knew that going in. I would like to return and hope the music selection is better."

"I've been a couple of times now, and I just don't think it's worth the $50 entry. The atmosphere is interesting and the lights are cool, but it's pretty lame that the middle of the dance floor is all reserved for bottle service. Bartenders are friendly and attentive, but if you buy two drinks you're already over $100 spent. The music and lights and atmosphere are fine but not good enough to justify that entry fee, IMO."

"It was a more relaxed vibe on this Thursday night so it was a breeze to get in, check in and get seated. The service was a bit rushed and not personable. We had a bottle service and it literally came out while the celebrant was unseated, I don’t know if it could have gone differently but it would have been a better experience. The food was a bit above average with my favorite’s being the crab roll, steak wagyu, chicken ___, shrimp. The music was pretty dead on this night so we didn’t get the full experience. We also didn’t find the seating comfortable at all for a party of 5, it’s a small coffee table in front of a long couch, pretty awkward setup for a more formal celebration. Overall the vibes were aesthetically pleasing nothing more on this night."

"It was hard to get a dinner reservation on a weekend. Luckily, we managed to get one on Thu night. I read reviews that said it’s a small space. However, it’s a beautiful designed space. Food and drinks were great. My favorite is the Poisson Cru. Thus, not sure about the bad reviews. We had a great time on Thu and you might have better service compared to the weekend when they are super busy."

"Great venue in the heart of downtown Boston! Came here for an event in the early evening. While we did not get access to their regular food menu, their drinks were all on display and delicious. Get the old fashioned if you are interested, as it's for a unique aftertaste. The appetizers available was terrific and included vegetarian friendly options as well. The atmosphere was the best part of the venue. There's a lot more space than it seems, especially coming for an event. Given the location, it's tough to even get into the place since it's so popular! Overall, had a great time and hope to come by again soon."
