"Really enjoyed visiting this site. Very good guided tour, and really special to be somewhere so small where so many famous people once trod (think both Washington and Hamilton, plus many more). If you're driving in the area it's a good place to stop to get the lay of the land, and the view is pretty special. Only rated four stars as the museum was closed for the day and they don't take card (The nearest working ATM can be a bit tricky to find)."

"Winter hours are only until 3pm, not 4! Highly recommend the tour of the house with details on the operations of Washington’s work. We didn’t have time to visit the museum because the Google hours were wrong, but we will try next time. There is also a “victory” tower on the grounds and beautiful views of the river."

"Brought my 6 & 4 year old mid week & had a great time. The staff did a great job catering the experience to the age group & answering lots a questions. The upstairs has a small but full museum with information kiosks. The tower was our favorite part. Small spiral stair case up & down but amazing views & facts about the Hudson Valley & the revolution."

"Washington's Headquarters is very well persevered historic site and it's grounds are spectacular. For 16 1/2 months in 1782 and 1783 General George Washington and his wife Martha stayed at the farmhouse. It was the longest time Washington had spent at military headquarters. The site was chosen so Washington could keep a close eye on the British who occupied NYC at the time. The house tour was fantastic. The tour guide was engaging and explained every part of the house in detail. You must purchase a ticket for the house tour, but it is well worth it at only $7.00. No tickets online, cash only. The rest of the grounds overlook the Hudson. Be sure to take the "Tower of Victory" and "Minute Man Statue." The museum housed many artifacts from the American Revolution. An unusual artifact in the museum is "George Washington's Hair." Also, don't miss the chain that was drawn across the Hudson at West Point. Museum also has a hodgepodge of artifacts from different historical eras. Part of the USS Maine can be found here, and supposedly part of Hitler's stove from WW2. The guides and volunteers were happy to explain any part of the museum."
