"I arranged for some lumber for a set of custom built bilco-like doors. The man at the counter was very nice and helpful. He helped me decide on the best type of wood, width, etc. (that's why two stars, not one). I paid for the lumber, sight unseen, to be picked up by the workman who was going to construct the doors. I just learned that the workman complained about the condition of the wood when he picked it up, but the Curtis person he dealt with was very rude and told him to go someplace else if he wasn't happy with it. I wish he had. Instead, he accepted it and dropped it off without saying anything. I started to paint the wood and noticed it's condition right in the middle of the job. Given his tight time schedule, it was impossible to return the wood at that point. This issue could have been avoided if my workman had rejected the wood. But I'm writing this review because I had trusted that Curtis would give us good quality boards in the first place. So my recommendation is to check your wood thoroughly before bringing it home ... don't assume anything."
