"I was CRAVING chicken Kashmiri bad tonight but my husband is not a big fan of the spice in traditional Indian food. As a compromise, we settled on Galleria 7 in Latham, a multi-ethnic food market with excellent vendors, including @Shalimar express. I called around 5 to ask if Shalimar express makes chicken Kashmiri. The nice man answered, told me no and respectfully hung up the call. Within five minutes, the owner, Leo, called me back to tell me that although they do not have chicken Kashmiri as a menu item, they were able to make a modified version and call is chili chicken. We arrived around 615 and Leo greeted us with a smile and a “it was you!!!” He proceeded to explain how he would custom make a dish for me and would make it suitable for my dietary needs. He really didn’t not have to but this man went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. We received the food within 15 minutes and it was DELICIOUS. The chicken was soft and tender, the garlic naan was flavorful and the veggies were absolute perfection. My husband had the Curry chicken and loved every bite. Leo even came and spoke to us about his history, his family and his love for serving his friends. We never post on this page but Leo made this experience such a memorable one. He went far beyond great customer service and truly the food was Amazing. If you are ever in all Latham, give them a try."

"Absolutely amazing. I’ve had shalimar at two capital region locations before and I can definitively say this express location meets, if not exceeds the standards of the full locations. The chicken tikka masala I ordered is the best I’ve ever had and the service was just wonderful. Can’t wait to come back!"

"This spot is great, the staff is friendly and accommodating, their portions are large and the food is delicious. Grabbing lunch to go is easy and quick, they have a buffet style lunch menu with a variety of dishes to choose from, and have a fair menu to order from if you have time to sit and eat."

"I have gotten their food multiple times and it’s always delicious. This past time I got the chicken masala bowl and it’s my new favorite. Will definitely be getting it again. I also love their chicken wrap and hummus with naan. I would highly recommend!"
