"Avra is the most fantastic barber I’ve had to date. Short hair is new for me in the last couple of years and I have a lot of annoying cowlicks that most barbers I’ve been to are unsure of how to handle. I went to Avra after a bad haircut that left my hair very uneven all over. Not only did she fix it and have me looking devilishly handsome, she explained to me what was happening that I didn’t like. I’ve been back to her multiple times since and every time she listens to my vision and executes it flawlessly. Not to mention she makes you feel like royalty. You get your own room, there’s a tv or she’ll play whatever music you like, and if you’re not in a rush, she washes/dries/styles your hair and provides an incredibly soothing facial w peppermint oil hot towels. This is without a doubt my new go-to place!"

"Great job today. Loved the haircut I got and was much faster than I thought it would be. Made it so I could squeeze in lunch before work. Very nice. Accomadating. I was vague in what I wanted ( I didn't really know what I wanted done) and she rolled with it. Will make her my regular spot."

I was impressed with Avra's skills with the clippers as being a black male not all barbers are created equal. I would recommend Avra to my friends especially in the Watertown area. I have been on the search for a new master barber and I found her. So pleased with my decision to go to Only Barbers!"

"This review is long over due but is a must. I visited Only Barbers on May 1st with my 8 year old son. We were looking for a new barber because we are new to the area. I called and spoke to Avra and clearly asked if she has experience in cutting African American hair as not everyone does. She said yes. When I got there, I noticed she was playing rap music which I’m sure it’s to make your constituents feel at home but we do not always listen to rap and that can come off as stereotyping. Before Avra cuts my 8 yr olds hair, I show her a picture and asked if she could do it and she said yes!! As she begins to cut and it begins to get towards being about 20- 30 mins of us being there I notice his hair is warped, one side side taller then the other and one side has more hair than the other. Also, it looks nothing like the picture I showed. Next, I questioned her as to why his hair looked that way, she then says she can fix it. It was a total mess and she told me all she can do is try her best. I’m sorry sometimes especially with a young child you only have one shot. He was devastated. He left there asking if he was ugly. I was so upset. She was very nice and did not charge me at all but my time was wasted and my son was hurt. We had to search for another barber, that thankfully was able to get him in the next day and fix the mess. I will never return or recommend. "Best haircut I have had in my entire life. Definitely going to be going here again. She took time with my hair and made me feel welcomed and not rushed. Took her time. Gave recommendations instead of commands. And really let me choose what I wanted and how I wanted it while guiding me through it. 10/10 my go to for my hair and beard"
