"Like a few of the other reviews have mentioned, Julie is unreliable and a poor communicator. My initial hair and makeup trial was rescheduled last minute twice, which I didn't think much of until reading that others had a similar experience. Then, the evening prior to my wedding, I received a text that Julie had a family emergency and an alternative team would be provided. I was assured that I would be compensated for the last minute change. I was stressed, but again, didn't think too much of it because of course, family comes first and I can't blame anyone for having an emergency. The back-up team did an ok job, but clearly weren't as experienced. The make-up artist was nervous to curl my eyelashes and asked me to do it myself. The hair stylist seemed to struggle a bit and many of the up-dos started falling apart a few hours into the wedding. We ended up running an hour behind and my makeup was the one being rushed, which was really a bummer. Hair and makeup was one of the things I was most nervous about and I was really disappointed with how I looked - no bride should have to feel that way on her wedding day. Even after all of that, I wasn't angry. It wasn't until I tried to contact Julie after my event that my opinion of her changed. I sent multiple texts and emails over the course of a few months and have heard absolutely nothing from Julie or her team. Again, this seems to be a pattern for Julie and is completely unprofessional. She clearly has no respect for her clients and I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for your wedding day beauty services."

"Don’t book her for Wedding day services!! She calls out, reschedules, blames COVID or some family emergency to not show up (her or her other stylists)!!! Her contracts are one sided to protect herself from all her mistakes but still holds you accountable so she doesn’t have to pay up!! Be careful!!"

"I would not use this company for wedding day services. Let me explain why. I scheduled a hair and makeup trial with them back in Jan of 2022. We had to reschedule because of COVID. It was going around and I had no reason to doubt her. We rescheduled for feb and I booked her for the wedding because she had a great package, they were super fun, nice and my MOH liked my trial. I signed a contract just for my hair and makeup plus travel since my wedding wasn’t until 10.7.23. I booked her for engagement pictures for oct of 2022. We were rained out and they said we thought this would happen and I was able to reschedule with them for a Tuesday in October. About 2 days before I get email that julie had a family emergency. They offered a replacement but I denied it as I wanted Julie to do my makeup again before the wedding. I reschedule the hair and makeup for my bridal shower June 11, 2023. I got an email 8:30pm the night before my shower saying julie had a family emergency they have to cancel. No replacement was offered and to be honest I’m lucky I even saw the email. At this point I was very upset. I had no time to try to find a replacement for my shower the next day. This was becoming a pattern. I asked how can I be certain this won’t happen for my wedding day. The answer was we have never missed a wedding in 14 years. No word of a back up plan. That answer was not good enough for me. I did not use them for my wedding day as I could not trust they wouldn’t have another family emergency."

"I used Julie Occhino Luxury Bridal services. To start I had a contract with Julie for 1 bride, 5 bridesmaids, 1 family friend, mother of the groom, mother of the bride, the groom's hair and 1 flower girl. No small party by any means! This contract was over forty five hundred dollars for the day for everyone labeled above. I went with Julie as she called her company luxury and I wanted the smoothest day possible so we could just enjoy the day and not be stressed, boy was I wrong! I got a text less than two hours (7:40am) before the scheduled time to begin services (9:00am) that half of her team would not be showing up. I had been given a timeline with (4) stylists, 2 makeup and 2 hair. She claimed this was due to COVID but being in a post COVID world how is there no backup plan for when this happens? As you can imagine I had no time to try and fix this situation with any of the party. Whether that be bringing hair tools or makeup for people to do themselves. Her attitude on the situation was to pretend nothing was wrong! This destroyed the schedule for the day especially for the photographers! We had to take pictures during cocktail hour to finish. Touch ups were not given obviously as there was no time. The groom also did not receive his hair service because of the schedule being thrown out the window and 3 bridesmaids not being done at the time. The day was perfect other than the Makeup and hair! This added unneeded stress and unhappy people who had not been done until the ceremony was about to begin. There was no time for touch ups, no time for redoes if someone was not happy with a service absolutely nothing! When I called about getting some compensation as it was not the customers fault in this instance that things went wrong I got a completely different woman on the phone. When I brought up that there were two stylists missing "Well in the contract nothing states that you will have four artists". What?! How could you say that when you knew that there was a party of 11 people to do?! When I brought up that the groom did not get his service "Well if he refused there's nothing that we can do about that." Of course he's going to refuse. There were 3 bridesmaids not done and the photographers were trying to get any pictures they could possibly get done, done! When I stated that the timeline was not met whatsoever "Well the timeline we just curate for you this is not actually in the contract." When we tried to implore her for a discount she stated "I can't do that I have to pay the other stylist that came with me I would be in the hole." Absolute lies! I would have been charged the same amount for 4 stylists. How are you in the hole? Lies on top of lies, excuses on top of excuses until finally she stated "I am not going to do this song and dance with you." and we ended the call. Her form of compensation was a free hair and makeup appointment that as of right now has not been given but honestly I'm not going to use this as I am not comfortable with Julie's business. There could be hidden fees or as some of the other reviews have stated she would reschedule 8 times until you give up. Thinking about that now she did reschedule the makeup/hair trial last minute and I had to scramble to try to make other dinner reservations. I should have taken that as a sign for future difficulties. For future brides know this: Julie Occhino has NO backup plan if a stylist calls out and you will not be compensated for this. Julie Occhino will hold YOU the customer to her timeline but NOT herself. If the timeline is completely off because of her decisions you will not be compensated."

"I called the salon to make a last minute appointment for my five year old son for a haircut. They were awesome and got him in that same day at noon. The salon was beautiful and clean. Tori was so kind and patient with my son. She didn't make me feel as though she was rushing through his cut just to get to the next client. She took her time and his haircut came out so good. I definitely recommend this salon but most importantly Tori. We already have our next appointment scheduled with her for Nov."
