"EDIT: After submitting this review, I received a call from the Billing Dept., removing the incorrectly billed amounts from my statement. I am very grateful they were able to remedy this. Although it took longer than I expected, in the end, they did do the right thing when they didn’t have to, and that is worth noting. Thank you! I was invited to review LifeStance Health after receiving patient portal updates with my statements. These statements have been incorrect since the first time I was sent them in early 2022. I have tried over and over again to contact the billing department and discuss the issue. Via the portal, phone, even calling the National line which, although I got an initial response, didn’t go any further. I really liked the provider I saw, and it’s a shame there are no patient resources for administrative errors. Due to the billing department’s lack of response, they billed my insurance provider incorrectly, and I will need to pay OOP for visits that were covered, because they used the incorrect billing codes — this doubles the cost of my final statement. I alerted the billing team via voicemail and portal that there was time to fix this error (before the 180 day window closed) and never heard back. This has been an ongoing issue for a year now. Again, I loved my provider — it’s the lack of communication from LifeStance that has caused these errors. I have spoken to nobody in the billing department after a year of trying."
