"In the middle of Swedesboro, it’s an older building but it’s a nice quiet place to dine. I’ve been on 3 separate occasions and each time I have enjoyed the food and or drinks. Try them out if you have a chance."
"Good food and friendly service. My only issues were that they charge extra for credit card payments (most places just have the extra costs baked in), and they automatically added gratuity with a party of 6 without any notification other than on the check. I don't mind the automatic gratuity as long as there is a sign somewhere that lets you know. I did not notice a sign anywhere. Fortunately, someone in our party saw it on the check. We still like to give a little extra above the standard gratuity anyway."
"It’s become my favorite place to enjoy to eat! 2 restaurants in one! I enjoy the atmosphere in the bar @ the Red Hen, but order from the BLK SHP menu. Once again, an excellent meal! Water - scallop ceviche (light, flavorful & beyond my expectations) Earth - BLK SHP chips, I love egg plant! Land - Lamb chops, very good! Bread - gooseberry Brie flatbread (What a wonderful combination, delicious!)"
"Really good upscale comfort style food with a flair. The short rib pizza is so good that we drive from NE Philly for it. That pizza is in my top 5 pizzas in the country, and I've been to all 50 states. Baja shrimp tacos are a light and refreshing take on a classic. Soups and other menu items are equally done well. Nice selection of beer, if you drink. Elizabeth (chef/owner) is an absolute pleasure to talk with about food and travels. Restaurant decor is funky and eclectic. Also , there is a free parking lot."
