Cinder Bar

"In a word - DISAPPOINTING. The "lightly" breaded calamari was heavily crusted in something, overcooked and then drenched in a sauce to make it soggy. The perogies were mushy and the caramelized onions with them flavorless. The broth for the mussels was delicious, unfortunately the mussels were shriveled and tasteless. I ordered wings extra crispy. I just love crispy chicken skin. They came out anything but crispy. Tasted good, just not what I ordered or was expecting. The Cobb salad was flavorful and the dressing good. This was something I would get again. Edamame was under cooked, lacking salt and the sauce tasted like it came from the Chinese restaurant in a dumpy strip mall. Best thing we had were the beverages, but you can get those anywhere. When I looked at the menu I was so excited to eat here. So many delicious sounding menu items. Execution was lacking. After dining here, I am disappointed I did. Many items here were OK, but if I only want OK I will go to McDonald's and get what I am expecting. Just glad I had great company to enjoy my cold beverages."

"Decent lunch spot with great ambiance. The food is really good. I've had their cheesesteak and they put a good twist on it with the harder roll. Their bang bang shrimp was really tasty and well cooked. My wife loved their Perogis. The BBQ burger was very flavorful and juicy plus the fries are delicious. Our first time there the service was really bad but we gave them another try and our waitress Katelyn we had was much better. Definitely a good place for lunch near work."
