NYCitySlab, located at 180 Buena Vista Avenue in Yonkers, New York, is a unique institution that specializes in salvaging, reclaiming, and recycling wood from buildings in the New York City area. With over 1,000,000 board feet of lumber, including 25 different species and 150,000 board feet of reclaimed lumber from NYC buildings, NYCitySlab offers a wide selection of materials for your next project. In addition to specialty redwood and cedar from water tanks, the institution also has a complete metal shop for designing, building, and supplying projects of any size.
NYCitySlab is dedicated to preserving a part of NYC's building history by giving old wood a new life. The institution sources and mills all of its trees locally, specializing in larger, longer boards and specialty native American woods such as Black Walnut. With the ability to mill up to 48" wide and 100' long, NYCitySlab offers a variety of options for creating custom furniture, countertops, and more.
In addition to its Yonkers showroom and workshop, NYCitySlab also operates a mill yard in Dover Plains, NY and participates in the Grand Bazaar Market in NYC. The institution welcomes appointments for visits and offers a range of services including custom furniture design, metal fabrication, kiln drying, rentals for events, and more.
