"the doctors here are great. Mary the receptionist is not. She is incredibly argumentative about absolutely nothing. This woman would argue about the sky being blue. I am hoping to find a new pediatrician just so I can never see this woman again."

"Great place, nice staff, reception is always friendly, even when I have annoying requests or they are short-staffed, nurses are sweethearts, the doctors are competent and reassuring and available by phone after hours. Exactly what I need from my baby's doctor. Thank you!"

"Terrible experience. We have been patients for the last 5 months (mostly at the Hudson office). It is a little dingy and more importantly - it is hard to get an appointment, they will often change your appointment and they are constantly running behind. This office (Catskills) cancelled our appt last week and rescheduled us for Monday, then they called on Monday and rescheduled our appt again because “Dr Hechanova took the day off” and rescheduled us for Wednesday. When we got there on Wednesday, they made us wait 30 minutes and when I asked how much longer it might be they said “probably a while longer” so we just left. It was a 20 minute drive for us in both directions plus the wait time. This practice has seriously interrupted my work schedule over the last few months, and we are now going to find a new pediatrician. Edited: I tried to call 8+ pediatricians in our area and none of them were accepting new patients, so we are stuck with this place for now. This week around our daughter's first birthday, she had a fever for three straight days, we came into see Dr. Hechanova and he said it's a cough, just keep giving her Tylenol and let me know if it doesn't go down in a day or two. A day and a half later, we called the office and asked to speak with him but he was OOO. The receptionist said she would have another doctor call us back later that afternoon - and no one ever did. Unfortunately it was on a Friday, so that night we went to the walk-in clinic and they ordered a blood test at the hospital so we had to drive all the way to Albany to run a bunch of physical exams and a blood test that ultimately added up to nothing - when we should have just been seen by our doctor if these people ran this office at least somewhat efficiently. Terrible experience! As usual though... Edited again: There are still no pediatricians in our area with openings. Going to check again in September so for now, we are still stuck with Columbia Pediatrics. This morning, I took our daughter in for her 15 month appt to get her shots... After waiting in the waiting room, going through the physical exam and all that stuff (during which she was crying the whole time because she has hated doctors since that hospital visit three months ago), the doctor tells me the nurse will be right in to administer the shots. The nurse comes in a while later and tells me that they don't have the vaccine and they'll need to order it, and asks me if we can come back in a week..... RIDICULOUS. I am actually impressed with the level of disorganization at this office. Can't wait to find a new pediatrics office. We desperately need more quality pediatricians in the Hudson Area!!!"

"I’m only giving it a one for their reception staff. My infant son saw a physician here at the Jefferson heights office. We brought him in for his two week check up and four week check up. We brought up a couple of concerns all which she stated were normal and not to worry. Lone and behold the terrible rashes, constant crying, lethargy, throwing up, and swollen face she claimed to be normal (although I expressed what I thought it was) were absolutely not. My son was suffering from a milk protein allergy and was admitted to the hospital for 5 days because his immune system was weak and needed IV antibiotics. She Completely dismissed everything I was saying to her about his symptoms. I could have lost my son because of her neglegence. Thank god I listened to myself and did my own research when I did. I would never recommend seeing ANY provider in this office."
