"If you are antique shopping or browsing galleries in downtown Peekskill, be sure to grab a bite at the Birdsall House. They have a pleasant outdoor beer garden, accessible through vintage iron gate. But food is the focal point at this gastro pub! Start with a portion of smoked brisket chili, but save room. A maple burger, 3 cheese grilled cheese, or the best corned beef Reuben I have ever tasted anywhere, will leave you satisfied yet parched, so wash it all down with a brew or cider. You won't be disappointed!"

"Alone that awesome cheese platter is a great reason to visit this place! Great food, lots of awesome beer on tap and a beer garden for hot summer nights. April 2023: They took the cheese platter off the menu. That's terrible. However, that place is still one of my favorite bars in Peekskill. Burgers great, a bunch (big bunch) of beer on tap and so nice waiters!"
