"Aldo’s coffee has really amazing quality coffee, cozy atmosphere, and personable staff. If you’re out East anywhere in Long Island it’s definitely worth going to Aldo’s in Greenport. And the location is beautiful which is a plus!"

"Nice garden with views of the marina, good service and not-too-strong coffee. Inside is more industrial since they roast right there, but still nice for chatting or working."

"First time visit to Aldo’s on a rainy afternoon. Ordered a cappuccino and hot coca after asking about how their hot cocoa is made. Cappuccino was very good, but hot cocoa was the star! They make theirs from big chunks of chocolate and hot steamed milk. There are so few places that make any effort to craft non-coffee beverages, but Aldo’s makes a fantastic cup of hot cocoa! Had a great convo about roasts and beans for pour-over and French press applications, and found the new roaster (Rae?) to be friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about customer-owner interactions. Great pleasure to find an independent coffee place that cares about its products and helping customers with selecting the right roast for them. Highly recommend! Only reason we didn’t give 5 stars was because we saw the state of the scones, which looked very sad, and then saw a couple return their scone, which had disintegrated into a large pile of crumbs. Baked goods at the end of the day usually aren’t very fresh, but these scones looked pretty sad. Hope they’ll consider refreshing those in the afternoon in the future."

"Delicious cappuccino with oat milk and a chocolate croissant to die for. Also on the water in beautiful, quaint Greenport. A great way to start the day. Very busy so have patience. Tell 'em Barsnobs sent ya!"

"Yelped a coffee shop and this place came up. It was around 9pm when I came in here, one of the few places open at that time, and there was a big line to my surprise. I thought maybe it’s a really good place since so many people flock here. Now I am just giving my two cents about their coffee, not anything else since nothing else was purchased. I ordered an iced latte and I was pretty disappointed. First off the taste it had was as I describe old coffee, why? It has happened to me at home where if you reuse the coffee filter for the expresso machine you will get the taste of old coffee oils infused into your fresh coffee. Lastly I was surprised my latte was weak tasting, how do I know good coffee is good, by having after taste coffee in your mouth. This latte was very weak. Now it could have been that they were so busy or the young girl did not know, i dont know either. I was really sleepy and had to drive back to NYC so i eventually stopped off at a 7-11 and made me fresh ground iced latte to go! Again, this review can not speak for the entirety of the place. Maybe if the owner reads this review, it might be something they can correct. The decor was really nice and all food was displayed very well. Place is decently large. Customer service was not too bad. Just wish they had a line control as people just walked in and they wanted to skip a line i was already waiting on 12 minutes. The person who helped me was very friendly. I gave the place three stars based on the based on my coffee. I am sure the coffee here can be much better with better machine tuning and employee training."
