"From the moment I walked into the carol baldwin center, I felt uncomfortable. The front desk staff was rude. As this was my first time there, I didn’t know I needed them to validate my parking ticket. They were nasty about me leaving my ticket in the car. I had to bring my small child with me because due to emergency. I often have to bring him to doctor appointments. They treated us like lepers. They made us sit by the door. There were other people complaining about the rude front desk staff, and after they would walk away, the staff was loudly complaining about how THEY were being abused and people were so nasty to them. After about 30 minutes, someone (who was so sweet), came out and told me the dr is refusing to see me because my child is not vaccinated. Vaccines have been proven not to prevent covid transmission. I have never once- even in the beginning of the pandemic, had an issue with bringing my child. I had to go in for a cancer screening. This is a scary enough place to be. I didn’t need to waste 30 minutes to be told they are refusing to see me. They told me “reschedule when you can get a babysitter.” I will never reschedule with dr. Anastasia Bakoulis. Or anywhere in stony brook imagine for that matter."
