"I sometimes go to this beach only because I would do so as a child. The sand is brown playground sand, like you'd buy in a bag in the garden section of home Depot. The water is also brown and usually dirty (lots of seaweed). I do like the view, though"

"Nice short visit on cold winter morning. Access to Sarah Ruppert bird park preserve is supposed to be open per city’s web site at this time of year but posted signs from summer still prohibit it. Looks like a way to deter visitors and make beach private."
