"After trying take out, last week, I decided to stop by. Things went horribly wrong, was never coming back. Finally got slice, sat down, then couldn't get anything right. The Mgr spoke English, & I basically broke it all down for him. He apologized sincerely, replaced my food, packed everything else up nice for me, extra sauce on side for the ginger calamari, gave me a second artichoke as first one was like a mini one for the same price as a big one, & had someone help me to car. MUCH BETTER! He was personally checking on customers, that seemed happy, made someone call him over, I almost bust in tears! He understood & spoke ENGLISH! Will definitely try again or call using curbside pickup! Thank you, Victor!"

"I grew up on Long Island, not far from this pizza shop. My parents took me here religiously and it was THE best place to get pizza, period. The overall taste of their pizza (every single ingredient.. sauce, cheese, dough, crust) was amazing. Needless to say, they made perfect pizzas. After moving upstate more than a decade ago (plus.. about 15+ years now if memory serves correct), and a few years ago meeting my wife, I took a trip down so she could see where I grew up. Our first stop after driving over 6 hours, even before visiting my old house, was O Sole Mio (or as I call it, Solo Mio). I just got a slice and it was every bit of perfect as I remember it. They haven’t changed a thing, and rightfully so. After being deprived of anywhere close to “good pizza” upstate, I shed some tears joy… over pizza. That’s how good this place is. The next day I got a pie to go for the trip home and even heating it up briefly in the toaster over, it still just as good. I hope anyone living on Long Island, visiting Long Island, etc takes the time to try this place if they haven’t yet. Get a plain cheese slice or whole pie. You will not regret it. Their garlic knots are pretty good too. This is the type of business people should be supporting. Thank you guys for staying in business and keeping your recipes the same after all these years. Can’t wait to come back again."

"My husband and I attended Stony Brook for undergrad and grad school. While we were in college we ate here every Friday night! We recently came back to campus and stopped for a Large Pizza! 17 years later for us and it has remained the absolute best pizza we have ever had. We brought 3 slices back to Rochester, NY for our kids, and they are now hooked! We can't wait to get back there, and when we do, this will be our first stop!
