About the Business
The 808 Bistro is a neighborhood restaurant with a downtown feel, located in the heart of Scarsdale, New York. Owned by Salvatore Cucullo Jr., a Culinary Institute of America graduate with experience at exclusive New York City restaurants, the bistro offers a delicious Italian menu.
Family Value Meals are available, including a choice of salad, pasta, and chicken or eggplant parm. Vegan options like General Tso's cauliflower are also offered. Desserts are available for 2 or 4-6 people, with options to upgrade to shrimp, steak, ribs, or salmon.
In addition to the food, all wine is half price and beer is available for $4 or 6 packs for $20. The restaurant is open Monday-Sunday, with special occasions welcome to be celebrated at the bistro. "I don't like giving a bad reviews but this was on another level of bad. The guy was pretty miserable and no help. Ok then lets move on to the food. The apps were burnt! Next main course tasted like frozen fish defrosted in a plastic bag in the microwave. It was basically inedible. The only time he asked us for anything was to wrap all this food that was left on the table. There was no saving this $100 terrible lunch. I love your location and the inside is really cute. But No way you should be serving food like this in Scarsdale. Please rethink your menu and staff. Maybe if only one was bad I can try again. But there is no way I'm trying this place again."
"Food was very good. They have some nice lunch specials. The crab cake was exceptional. It was small but just crab and very tasty. The desserts were delicious. The flan and the brownie are a must try. I look forward to dining in."
"We came early on a Friday night, and were surprised to learn it was restaurant week. Although I had been looking forward to some of my favorite items on the regular menu (crispy shrimp wontons FTW!!), I found some of them on the special menu, like the meatballs and crab cake. Ftr, this is the best crab cake you can find! And it did not disappoint. The pork chop was like braised beef and melted in my mouth. The duck confit was perfectly crispy, and the meatballs were as flavorful as I remember. The apple strudel was a delight. As far as service goes, the wait staff were professional, courteous, and went the extra mile to make us happy. They handled the restaurant week crowd with grace! I love this place, and highly recommend eating here if you can."
"A great place to dine in. I’ve been here many times over the years with my staff for holiday parties as well for personal engagements. The staff is kind, attentive and most importantly the food is great! I’m vegan and have always been accommodated. Really nice restaurant for dates and professional affairs!"
"Very cozy space. Staff were very attending. Intimate environment with great utilization of space. Had a few cocktails and light apps. All were to satisfaction. The pour was generous and the food was tasty and light. Glad I stopped in!"
