"Bought I watch here in September for a friends 73rd birthday. Gave it to him, only to be mortified when he called a week later to say the watch didn't even work (beyond embarrassing). Apologized and told my friend to hold onto the watch until I could get it back. He lives in Jersey, I'm in Manhattan, wasn't able to see him again until Dec. Got the watch back, went to the store with the receipt. Saw the owner first, explained to him it was a gift and didn't work. Before I could even say please just credit back my card for the watch, owner said "probably just the battery" takes the watch to the back, then the person who sold it to me came out, told her what happened - at least she acknowledged how embarrassing must have been, apologized, said she felt bad, and said she'd check on the watch. Finally, a third person comes out - and topped off the experience. When (after explaining again what happened) I simply politely asked if I could just return the watch for credit (as it would understandably be embarrassing to try to "re-give" a gift that didn't work the first time). First, immediately responds with "Oh no, you can't get credit for this" (as if it was absurd to ask for a credit back on a gift item that didn't work), then, in what appeared to be a petty, ignorant, (and very offensive) effort to justify her response, actually says "this looks like it's been worn already." Beyond the fact the watch, nor the band had a blemish on it, the band was still in a fixed "round position" from being around the holder in the box all that time. Immediately corrected her insinuation. Again, a pathetic, ignorant, accusatory insinuation to try to justify an intransigent position rather than working with the customer. Won't go back."

"I was in the market for an engagement ring and my cousin introduced me to Chris. From the beginning of the process Chris and all of the girls at Papas were amazing in helping me pick out the perfect ring and educating me on the ins and outs. They make you feel like family from the second you walk in. Safe to say I got my now wife’s ring there, along with our wedding bands and other jewelers! We’re customers for life and I’d highly recommend Papas to anyone looking for any kind of jewelry"

"There is no other jeweler I will ever go to again. Stopped in here to get a watch battery changed on a whim in 2021. Then a few months ago I needed another watch repaired and a new battery and a Tiffany necklace cleaned. So I went there. When I went back to get my watch, not only did my fiancé and I find our dream wedding bands, we got our 4 month old daughters ears pierced. And most recently, just today, I picked up a special order. We had my fiancés grandmothers engagement ring that we wanted to repurpose into something new. Chris worked with us and helped to create the most beautiful piece I’ve ever seen. What started as a simple yellow gold single stone ring is now something that will be passed down and cherished for generations to come. (The ring would have been too but we wanted something that represented our family and we absolutely got it.) 100/10 recommend."

"I’ve been going to Papa’s for many years and will be the only jeweler I will continue to go to. The staff is beyond welcoming and the owner’s make sure you leave as happier as ever with any service they can provide. I went in wanting a new band setting and they were extremely helpful in helping me find exactly what I wanted. In no time, my ring was ready and exceeded my expectations. Chris and Michelle are very straightforward and honest with their customers providing the best quality services/products. Trustworthy jewelers."

"I'm not sure how their diamond/jewelry service is but I would ABSOLUTELYYYYY NOT RECOMMEND(!!!) bringing in your watch here for any repairs/battery replacement. I was charged $20 to replace a battery for a low end Tag watch. Service was quick, staff was friendly. I come home and I see THREE(!!!) different scratches on the back of the watch. Clearly from them trying to pry open the back panel. My watch was spotless when I brought it in. Now I have the pleasure of being inconvenienced to return to their store to have them fix their mistake. I come back and they offer to rebuff the scratches. Unfortunately I was better off taking my loss with the scratches because their buff job is HORRENDOUS!!! What a headache. I just wanted to get a battery replaced and I come out with a fcked up watch. Save yourself the headache and avoid this business at all cost!! You've been warned."
