"Nice local supermarket, great deli and the upgrades they made recently are very nice. It is great for the senior citizens to have variety close to home."

"Honestly, I'd recommend this place for their deli alone! The sandwiches crafted there are meticulously made works of art and I can't get enough. The makers are also extremely professional, patient and friendly. As for the store itself, given the location, it's a very handy spot. It's a bit cramped but well organized and stocked to the bring with everything you need. I'm sure the neighborhood is thankful for them. I guess the Food Universe brand is branching out."

"I manage three Deli stores and have a no public restroom policy on all establishments except that I’ve never turned down a lady or a young kid… food dynasty made my three year old piss herself while i was shopping claiming they had no restroom, she couldn’t even make it across the street, this was my second consecutive and last time shopping here.."

"Is the second month I spend 300 dollars on this store called food universe, under new management, I have to throw to garbage most of the items because everything is close to expire, also the ham was smelling so bad, the vegetables come with mold, the bread was like humid, DOH need to visit this place ASAP! Another thing everything here is so expensive more expensive than the other food universe located on 231st…."

"Do not trust any refrigerated foods here- OR the positive reviews. Food is expensive and spoiled. The milk with a date of a week from today, purchased yesterday was spoiled and sour. It ruined a whole batch of pancakes because I only smelled it when I mixed it in the batter. Took a sip to make sure I wasn’t imagining things and it was 100% spoiled. Bought two chicken breasts (against my better judgment because they were so large and cheap) and half of the batch was inedible. Rubbery, strange consistency that even the knife made a strange sound cutting through, like it wasn’t even real meat. We carefully cut the pieces that were edible, and threw everything else away, maybe 75% of the meat. Disgusting."
