"A great place for jazz in NY! Whether you’re a resident of the city or visiting for your first time it’s quintessential NYC. Old and musty and in a basement, all of which I mean as compliments. It gets crowded and feels so cozy but the jazz and sound are all great. Friendly staff. 1 drink minimum (which I’ve never been a fan of. The 120 ppl already paid $40 to go…)"
"I mean it's one of the revered jazz spots in NYC that is still standing. The acoustics cater really well to the type of music and the layout is simple and cozy. There is only a one drink minimum now and the staff is extremely friendly for NYC standards. Lol. Lastly the music and the musicians that play there are so top notch, you can stop by without even looking at the calendar and have a wonderful fulfilling time. Go! Enjoy!"
"Amazing jazz club with a lot of incredible history. It's an intimate venue and the sound is great. They pack a lot of people in there but the AC works well and there are good views of the stage. I saw Kurt Rosenwinkel and his band here, it was an excellent show. Definitely planning to come back regularly."
