"My partner and I had an amazing time fishing with Captain Joby! Despite a rainy afternoon, Joby was so gracious and patient with finding the best fishing spots. Before our trip, he prepped a live well filled to the brim with peanut bunker that we used as bait to lure the fish to us. And we were so impressed that he had two types of rods for different ways to catch fish: spinning rods and trolling rods with double lures set up that could potentially catch two fish at a time. SOOO cool!! My partner had never fished before and Joby was a fantastic teacher, guiding us on the proper techniques and sharing his vast breadth of knowledge. We each caught a bunch of fish, a mix of striped bass and bluefish, and it was so fun to be surprised by what we pulled up! Joby is so sweet, kind, and generous and it was wonderful seeing him interacting with other fellow fishermen out on the water. During our trip, we saw a father and young son fishing together and he offered them some of the lures we had been using because he saw them struggling to catch anything. Just a testament to the kind of person he is, and it meant a lot to me because I grew up fishing with my dad as well. It was such a pleasure having Joby as our captain and I highly recommend Long Island Fishing Charters!"

"My colleague and I took advantage of a day off from work by booking a half-day fishing trip with Captain Joby. It was phenomenal! We started by bottom fishing for fluke (though we also caught a porgy) - Captain Joby showed us the proper technique and used his secret bait combo, and the bites started coming right away. After about an hour, we switched to going after bluefish. We tried three different ways (trolling, diamond jig, and top water), and the big fish seemed to just keep hooking themselves. It was quite the workout to reel them in! Captain Joby was excellent company, helping us with our angling and answering our questions about different types of fish, his business, and the local landmarks. I can't wait to do it again!"

"My friend Nick traveled from Utica NY and I went out on the 34 foot 900 horse power Regulator for a morning fishing trip out of Manhasset Bay Marina in search for Bluefish. Captain Joby showed up with breakfast sandwiches and coffee for both of us and was incredibly knowledgeable of the fish patterns in the bay and prevailed after a slow start to the morning he found the birds which in turn led us directly to the fish! After locating schools of Bluefish chasing bait to the surface he immediately dropped the lures and trolled over the school resulting in 2 fish on every time. Once the fish we're hooked it was game on, fighting and jumping like crazy it was a good fight every time. We each hooked at least 10 fish each throughout the trip and were told that was a slow day so imagine when they are really hitting. The boat exceeded our expectations in every way, it was only two of us and the captain but there is comfortably room for many more anglers on board. State of the art fishing computers, tons of storage, nice well maintained rods and gear rigged up and ready to roll. Boat was fast and agile especially with the precise captaining skills of Joby. These guys are professionals in every definition of the word. Highly recommended if you want to actually catch some big fish! We will be returning next spring for striped Bass! "Greatest client event - Highly recommend... take your clients, take your family TAKE LI FISHING CHARTERS! I recently brought clients on a fishing trip with Captain Joby that started on the Long Island Sound. We caught fish right away, which made for an exciting start to the day. The boat is excellent, we chartered the REGULATOR 34′! The highlight of the trip was cruising to the Statue of Liberty, which provided stunning views of the city skyline. Joby brought us to a spot he has discovered in the past that is near Lady Liberty and we caught more fish. Who has a picture with a fish and the Statue of Liberty in the background? We do! Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this fishing trip to others and look forward to cruising again with Captain Joby."
