"Took my little one here for some time and was usually seeing Dr. Starr. Majority of it seemed fine. I told him about the respiratory issues Kise has and we were working on figuring out what the issue is. I told him I didn’t want to take it as asthma until we’re sure. Then today I was seen by a different vet, Dr. Hunter. She claimed it was written on Kise’s record that he has asthma. This left me feeling shocked and confused because he never said this to me. But I also had a record of the notes which were written and not typed. I took a look and noticed writings before the word “asthma.” I waited to see her because I looked right after our session. And when I saw her, she somewhat rushed me & when I asked to speak privately, she just said to speak to her now in front of everyone and my time has closed. She said the writing was r/o which means to rule out. And she claimed this was indicating asthma is the diagnosis. And that didn’t make sense as ruling out means to not include. I told her that doesn’t make sense he wouldn’t tell me that when he’s been saying it’s not likely for Kise to have it. I also asked about the records and sending all the info over to another vet mainly for a second opinion and she replied saying she’ll transfer my records and I can have the recheck there. While she was talking to me, everyone circled around as if I was about to make a commotion and I immediately felt uncomfortable and just apologized. This left me feeling really upset and quite emotional. Contrary to what majority are saying here, it’s absurd to have such a different experience. If the lil guy has asthma then okay, I will work and help him get better and continuously support him. Though if this is based on someone reading the chart wrong and belittling my concerns- that’s just horrible as I would be treating Kise for something he may not have for the rest of his life."

"I recently started going to Scarsdale Animal Hospital with our new puppy and have had a very positive experience. The vet was no-nonsense but seemed to really know his stuff. The staff was very friendly and seemed to truly love animals."

"It was 5 years ago that Scarsdale Animal Hospital helped me and my 18-year old cat Malley deal with her end-of-life process. The professional, humane, and empathetic handling we received deserves much more praise than this very belated review. I would recommend Scarsdale Animal Hospital to anyone whose pet needs medical care. Our family is grateful Scarsdale Animal Hospital is part of our Southbelt Community."

"The staff and doctors are very caring and treat you as if you’re family. The care they gave to my dogs was exceptional. I am so thankful for them being there when my little girl crossed over the rainbow bridge today."
