"I don't normally go public and rate a restaurant but, I ran into a situation that warranted a remark about service. Went into J&G Restaurante tonight with 5 other family members. I ordered a "Special" Prime Rib dinner ($30). Asked for a medium Well cut. They served me a huge cut which was tough and impossible to cut. I was told that a man was the owner and, I told him that the cut was the worst cut of meat I ever had and, his arrogant reply was that it was an end cut and end cuts could be that way. He walked away. A waitress asked why I didn't tell her (because she was very busy and honestly, I was trying hard to cut this meat. When she came over and asked if everything was OK did I tell her that this was a terrible piece of meat. What I felt bad about was that a relative who eats there regularly was paying for the meal."
"Had the large tuna salad platter, it was enough for two meals and my wife had the shrimp over angel hair pasta with a salad and fresh garlic bread. They were very reasonably priced and both were served with generous portions. The wait staff were very friendly and courteous.they also have great pizza and an extensive menu."
"Great pizza! Haven't changed in 35 yrs...the pizza recipe that is. I would say best pizza in the area. Wouldn't change a thing. Always have great dinner specials too. The restaurant inside has been updated over years to increase seating capacity. Staff always attentive and service is fast."
"This is the 1st post I have ever done. I had a Celebration of Life for my husband. His favorite pizza. He was one of there first customer from their hole in the wall when they opened 40+ years ago. I had 7 party pizzas and went with bottle soda at $6.50/$7.00 each. Although I believe it says $2.99 each. I asked if they had diet for someone to be told "If they where not trying to be so cheap, there is fountain pictures at $6.50" I did not say I was the host and ordered a cup of diet. I also had a salad, and a few other meals and salads ended up being order. I have had several parties there. We bring in some popcorn and snacks. Nothing has ever been said. I was told it was not allowed and I was to order snacks from them. I know I now live in Florida but I already have family and friends who heard this and will never go there again!"
