"Fresh and Delicious Sweets (मिठाई) and mouth-watering snacks along with north Indian delicacies. We had ordered Aloo Paratha and Chhole Bhature. Paratha's batter was evenly spreaded over and cooked in tandoor, which brings out the smoky flavour out of it. Chhole Bhature was delightful too, not oily and too smudgy alike other offers. For मिठाई (Sweets) - just rest assured that you get fresh, made with real ingredients and nicely packed/wrapped way. I often purchased Kaju Katli, Coconut Burfi and Mix Mithai box. I recommend it for best Indian Sweets and Economical rates for Lunch/Dinner."

"My hubby Amit and I are regulars at #Shivanirestuarant Papatoetoe, each weekend. The service is great, staff are friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is clean , and the great variety of Indian vegetarian street food as well as mains - all reasonably priced and promise a taste which will have you coming back for more. Our favourites are the Thalis (platters) and the Indian sweets and their Elaichi chai (cardamom tea). This is a hidden gem in Papatoetoe , with ample parking. Ghevar- an Indian sweet delicacy , which we missed for 20 years as not available normally in NZ, is easily available at Shivani Indian Restaurant. Are you also missing some of your sweet /savoury food memories from India…then why not come to Shivani restaurant, Papatoetoe!!"
"Everyone who works there acts like they would rather be somewhere else instead. Overpriced, oily food, tasted bland no salt, rude staff, sweets are below average, like watered down, and VERY loud music. Pls give the cleaner a pay rise, she did an outstanding job despite the low quality food. Will continue to go to Dominion Rd Shivani"
