"One of the few lounges which is accessible before the security scanning, I was a bit confused when I had to do another loop and look on Google Maps to find it. The entrance is next to the check in counter and isn't that inviting. There are a few drinks available inside, but very limited food and service. The tables were not clean either. A bit disappointed considering its an all in one lounge. Would prefer that ground staff did some regular check ins to make sure that is was clean with a few more food options."
"Really? Is this a lounge? I bet none of the big wigs have been here. You have to ask the check in staff to let you in (that is when you find it. It’s before security by the way). There are no staff there. It’s pretty uninviting. Rubbery cheese and biscuits, some sweet dry cakes. Capsule coffee and the fridge dose have soft drinks which you can get but don’t bother about the beer or cider as that part is locked even after mid day. No wine, but there are wine glasses on display. I really wouldn’t bother."
"No one wants to go back through security to sit in the lounge, to only do it again. The point of a lounge is effortless travel and the convenience of just walking to your gate, when your flight is ready to board. You need to take in consideration delays at security and the chance that they are congested. Change this."
"Our experience at Launceston lounge was underwhelming. Firstly, there is no priority boarding, unlike virgin australia. You will get buzzed into the lounge where the food options were snack bars, crackers, and pod coffee machine. No one to clean the lounge either. The lounge is before the security screening. Do not waste your lounge passes, you may as well sit in the general lounge and enjoy the view."
"Located right beside check in, have to ask check in staff to allow you access as it is unmanned. Very underwhelming, pod coffee machine, drinks fridge (other passengers couldn't access the alcoholic side - was 11am) and cheese and crackers and cake bars only thing on offer. Lounge was dirty/unclean and toilet filthy - desperately needs a renovation. Still have to pass through security before boarding, so the normal last minute move to the gate is not doable here like in other airports. Definitely nothing "Covid clean" about the Lounge at all."
