Welcome to Journey Early Learning Centre | Nightcliff, located at 69 Progress Drive, Nightcliff, Australia. Our establishment is a point of interest in the community, known for our awesome childcare centre, dedicated staff, and pristine facilities. My name is Tanya, and I have been a part of the childcare industry in Darwin for over 31 years. My journey began in 1992 as a casual educator before becoming a permanent staff member in 1996. As a mother myself, I gained valuable experience and understanding of childcare needs. In 2002, I obtained my Certificate 3 qualification while working as an assistant in various age groups, and in 2000, I became a Lead Educator for the Nursery under 2's. Continuing my education, I completed my Diploma in 2005, and in 2012, I embarked on the path to become an Early Childhood Teacher, achieving my Bachelor's degree in children's services in 2015. During my tenure as Acting Centre Manager, I also served as the Educational Leader and Early Childhood Teacher for our centre.
At Journey Early Learning Centre | Nightcliff, we believe in the power of nature-based play. Children thrive when given the opportunity to explore and engage with the natural world. That's why nature-based play is an integral part of our curriculum. It not only teaches children important life skills such as confidence, independence, exploration, and cooperation but also promotes their overall health and wellbeing. By immersing children in outdoor play, we instill a sense of respect and appreciation for the environment from an early age.
Our centre is designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and discover their unique potential. We offer a range of age-appropriate activities and experiences that cater to the individual needs and interests of each child.
