"Caught up with friends here on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was busy but we were well looked after. We really enjoyed the samosa’s, and had a selection of dishes (seafood biryani, lamb saag, chicken jalfrezie and chicken korma) all were really tasty. The main dining area is upstairs and has nice views over Ocean Grove (and probably over the water, but it was dark). We will definitely be back!"
"Phone ordered takeaway. Arrived at pick up time, 30 minutes later as indicated when placing order. Junior staff were unorganised, undertrained and overwhelmed. In total I stood at the counter for an hour. When I asked them if I could speak with the manager. He gave them a message to pass on to me that the food under my name would be 2 minutes. 15 minutes later when I asked for a refund they passed me my order which was cold from sitting on the table the whole time it was supposedly 2 minutes away. I saw many disgruntled customers while I was waiting. I think the manager should show a presence and be front of house to address any customer complaints. If the manager had of presented themselves when requested I could of personally spoke with them instead of writing a review."
"I frequently purchase Indian cuisine as it is my favourite, tonight's food was not up to scratch. I love butter chicken, but today's was just tomato soup with a dash of cream on it. We read the reviews after and read that the owner would like the courtesy of a phonecall rather than a negative google review, so that it what we tried to do. Initially the phonecall was calm and respectful but by the end the gentleman would not listen to what we had to say. I have never had this experience before and will not be returning. I was very disappointed with the overall experience. Responding to your response: We offered to bring the food back. You said it is in your policy not to give refunds and when asked for the policy you said you don't have it, nor does any restaurant. We did not want a full refund just for the butterchicken. I can see we are not going to get anywhere here. We did not at any point mention anything about black mailing your business, you have made that part up. The rest of your food was lovely, we just did not like the butter chicken."
