"We had short Sunday trip to Newcastle beach recently and had brunch afterwards at this popular cafe. We ordered wagyu burger and fish & chips from the menu. The dishes were OK, not great but OK. I wish the burger patty was not over-grilled, but the bacon topping was nice. Chips were done correctly and credit must be given for extra salad on the side of the fish & chips. Prices on the menu are quite premium, but still reasonable considering premium location of the cafe. The cafe has reasonable space, both indoor and outdoor. Ambience is nice and relaxing. The floor staff services were quite patchy though. We had to get our own knife / forks since the staff lady ignored our request. Another staff lady was quite helpful for getting us cold tap water in bottle for our drink. You can pay with the usual MC / V cards with no additional surcharge. Please note that they will charge 10% surcharge for Sunday and Public Holiday diners."
"Great Menu, Nice ambience and vibe. Architectural interiors are spot on. Go with the staff recommendations they are good, food was presented nicely and flavourful. If you didn’t book ahead they do have a casual outdoor dining that you can usually find spots although it may be windy."
