"I rushed my dog to this vet as I believed he had bloat. The vet disagreed and gave my dog an anti nausea injection. We asked for X-rays to confirm my dog didn’t have bloat but was advised by the vet he was confident our dog did not have bloat and did not require an X-ray. 7 days later we again rushed my dog to this vet with concerns of bloat again. A different vet read the previous vets notes and decided to also give him an anti nausea injection and once again, refused to XRay him. At this stage, my dog was showing obvious signs/symptoms of bloat. We were again sent home. 4 hours later, my dog went down hill very fast so we had to rush him to an emergency vet who confirmed immediately with an X-ray that he had bloat and he was admitted immediately for emergency life saving surgery. The emergency vet confirmed that he would have had bloat for the last week however the torsion became critical earlier that day. If we did not take him to the emergency vet, my dog would have died within the hour (actually it was a miracle he didn’t die earlier as bloat with torsion kills very quickly). When I contacted the owner of Belconnen animal hospital, he advised that his (and his colleagues) diagnosis of non bloat was correct and refused to take any ownership that due to their lack of follow up, incorrect diagnosis and testing, that my dog almost died. We paid nearly $500 for a misdiagnosis (on both visits). We will never take our pets here again. If you are looking for a vet clinic that will take your money and quickly brush you off…then the Belconnen animal hospital is for you. If you care about your pet, then do not go here!!!"

"The veterinarians here are amazing and so caring. Your pet’s health is their highest priority. After a year of our dog continually having digestive issues, we changed vets and took him to the Belconnen Animal Hospital. Within in a couple of months they had done all the necessary test and referred him to a specialist. Our dog now has a diagnosis and we can finally get treatment so that he can live his best life."

"My little dog hurt her leg this morning and couldn't walk. I was very concerned and rang the lovely Lana at my usual vet 'Belconnen Animal Hospital'. Lana spoke to the vets/vet nurses and I was able to bring my dog in straight away (even though they were very very busy). Dr Sara looked after my dog and was so kind and considerate (and of course professional). Can't thank these wonderful people enough and Dr Kabs who usually looks after my dogs. Such a caring clinic and it's really the fabulous staff! Thanks Dr Shannon and everyone at Belconnen Animal Hospital; Penny is resting now on her bed."
