CCCares

Welcome to CCCares, an establishment located at Phillip, Launceston Street, 2 in Australia. Formally established in 2005, CCCares is an alternate education and support program specifically designed for pregnant and parenting students from the ACT and surrounding districts. Our institution offers flexible delivery of learning and content, ensuring students receive an ACT Senior Secondary Certificate and certified competency-based training.

At CCCares, we cater to students aged 14 to 25 from diverse backgrounds. Our institution is known for providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment with individualized learning plans. We understand the unique needs of our students and provide essential services such as adjunct childcare and transportation to facilitate their participation and meet their learning requirements. Our dedicated staff emphasizes the importance of health and education services and collaborates with various community and training organizations.

Our primary goal is to create a safe, warm, and stimulating environment for our students and their children. We believe in the uniqueness of each child and recognize that they develop at their own pace. Therefore, we support play-based learning, offering diverse opportunities for exploration, discovery, and creativity, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia 2019.

At CCCares, we value and respect all families, including those with additional needs, people from non-English speaking backgrounds, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We acknowledge the significance of family culture and strive to create an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity.

CCCares aims to provide a best practice model for pregnant and parenting students to access education. Our institution adopts a blended and flexible service delivery model, working closely with multiple agencies to provide holistic health, education, welfare support, and practical living assistance. We prioritize strong staff-student relationships within a relaxed and accepting environment, empowering our students to seek solutions and take responsibility for their actions. Through assertive outreach, CCCares actively engages with young people facing barriers in accessing formal services, ensuring their continued involvement in the program. We operate with an open-door policy, allowing interested young people to visit our campus and join the program if they meet the criteria. Additionally, partners of enrolled students can access employment, health, and vocational education services.

CCCares operates every weekday in an open plan learning environment. Our facilities include classrooms, kitchens, playrooms, sleep rooms, change rooms, a medical suite, fitness room, and outside play areas. To ensure convenience for our students and their children, CCCares offers transportation from their homes to school and back each school day.
