"So I contracted with credit reboot in March 2022 to negotiate two debts with the same lender.They told me to refer any correspondence back to credit reboot. So I got threatening letters and phone calls. I told the lender several times of my arrangement and referred them back to CR. The calls continued for a while and the lender told me that they hadn't heard from CR. So late in 2022 CR advised they had arranged a settlement and sent me some e-documents to sign. Then they asked me to get my credit report with Equifax. Sure enough I had been reported and my credit score had suffered. My default was available for lenders to see. Initially, I was supposed to begin repayments in December 2022, then January 2023, then in February. It is now May and now my bad credit report remains. I have not begun repaying the supposedly negotiated debts, and now CB isn't responding to emails or phone calls. I am out of pocket by over two thousand dollars and I now have a bad credit score. No doubt the relationship with the lender is much worse now than before my dealings with CR. I am not sure it CR is a scam or not. I may need to resort to civil action to retrieve my money or I may just have to accept the loss."
