About the Business

Welcome to Monash Respiratory Clinic, located at 408 Huntingdale Road in Mount Waverley, Australia. As a leading establishment in the field of health and hospital services, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with low acuity respiratory symptoms.
Our clinic is open 7 days a week, ensuring that you have access to the care you need when you need it. With ample parking at the rear of our premises, you can easily reach us and find convenience during your visit. Our clinic is well lit and fully accessible, ensuring that all patients can comfortably navigate our facility.
At Monash Respiratory Clinic, we specialize in the treatment of symptomatic patients with respiratory conditions such as cough, sore throat, and runny nose. If you require a COVID-19 test only and do not have respiratory symptoms, we can direct you to an appropriate testing location.
When you visit our clinic, you can expect to receive a comprehensive respiratory assessment and immediate support for the management of your condition. Our dedicated team of doctors and nurses will ensure that you feel welcome and comfortable throughout your visit, replicating the standard process of visiting a doctor.
Upon arrival, you will be checked in and taken to an isolation room where you will initially consult with our nurse. The nurse will then conduct a full set of observations, which will be recorded in our patient management system. We provide short-term management for your acute respiratory needs, with longer-term management supported by referral back to your regular GP.
For patients who test positive for COVID-19, we offer support through the COVID Positive Pathways program. This program connects individuals to clinical care, monitoring, and support services to ensure they receive the care they need.
As an Emergency Department diversion option, we receive warm referrals from general practices, pharmacies, COVID Pathways providers, and Emergency Departments, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate care for their respiratory conditions.
We strive to make our services accessible to all individuals, regardless of whether they have a Medicare card. There are no out-of-pocket costs for our patients, and we can provide access to interpreters when needed.
Rest assured that our team strictly adheres to infection control guidelines and utilizes personal protective equipment as per Victorian Government Guidelines. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities.
If you have any questions or inquiries, please feel free to contact our reception at 03 7067 9650 or email us at admin@monashrespiratory.com.au. We are here to assist you and provide the care you need.

"Very poorly mannered staff. As a patient and also work as a health care professional, I felt like I was not treated as a patient today. I rang the clinic prior to say i had RAT + test to see if im able to come in. Came in and then was about to walk to the reception, the reception lady quickly hold her hand up and gave the stop sign in her palm to prevent me from walking towards their desk. She quickly confirmed my name and asked me to go into an isolation room, closed the door without any explanation. I was sitting in the room until, someone came in didnt identify herslef with no self introduction and started asking me questions. Initially i thought she was the receptionist until she started to do assessments then i assumed she might be the ?Dr. I understand i was tested + for covid, but that does not mean i should be treated differently, if you not willing to see positive cases in person, i would highly reconmmend you do phone consult. As I also work in the health care setting, we respond to many infecious cases and i would never treat my patients like this, where is the patient centred care gone? i will not reconmmend this clinic at all, if you are sick you may as well see your regular GP or present to ED if severe symptoms."
"I came in to this clinic on 30/7 and had a lovely doctor who told me that I might had viral infection. She gave me plenty of advise as I was having productive cough, sore throat and low grade fever especially at night. Last thursday, 3/8 I came back as I was still having the low grade fever and my cough is quite bad and won’t let me sleep at night. The doctor who seen me on this day was not nice at all, even the way she talk. She assessed me and said that it might be RSV and can only give me 2days of medical certificate. She said that I have to see my GP. When I went to see my GP on a sunday and put me on antibiotics. Today, I came back to this respiratory clinic as I was still having the bad cough wherein I still could not sleep, headache that won’t let me function, low grade fever especially at night. Unfortunately, I had the rude female doctor again. I felt so helpless and extremely frustrated as she doesn’t let me finish talking and told me that I should not be going back as it is the clinic with long term covid problems thats why they are wearing PPe and that I should just go to the GP, she also said that she doesn’t understand why my GP put me on antibiotics as my lungs were clear. I wanted to understand what condition I have as I have been feeling very unwell for the last two weeks but instead this incident made me cry as I thought I could have a better assessment considering this is a respiratory clinic but I guess I was wrong. But my point is, do i really needed to treated rudely because this doctor could just say it in a nice way."
"I am COVID positive and immunosuppressed patient, my GP sent me to Visit this clinic, I couldn’t breath properly and I was in excruciating pain , they refused to see me. No even a quick check to refer to emergency. I was in shock and felt humiliated So disappointed with this clinic ."
"Rather accidentally I ended up at the Monash Respiratory Clinic. I'm impressed. A very professionally and effectively run medical centre in every aspect. The staff I met, receptionists, nurses and doctors, were all great. Just one thing. Could we please remove TV screens from waiting rooms? When I'm sick, being literally forced to watch Channel 7 or Murdoch Sky is not healthy. Today I was forced to watch an interview with the clown Scott Morrison. No wonder my blood pressure went through the roof."
