About the Business
Welcome to Footscray High School - Kinnear Campus, located on Kinnear Street in Footscray, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be a secondary school that offers a world-class education to our students.
At Footscray High School, we recognize and acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nations as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we teach and learn. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present, and emerging, as well as to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are part of our vibrant school community.
We are committed to addressing the impacts of colonization on our First Nations people, particularly in the areas of education, health, and justice. We value and celebrate the strength, resilience, and pride of the longest living culture in the world, and we strive to share it generously with non-Aboriginal people. Our lifelong learning journey includes a commitment to understanding and embracing our history.
At Footscray High School, unity, respect, creativity, and endeavor are the foundation of our inclusive community. We believe in working hard and working together in a positive environment where every individual is engaged and empowered to discover their purpose and develop skills for life.
Our priority is to inspire young people and equip them with the essential skills for their future pathways. We provide an inclusive and positive learning environment where student wellbeing and learning are deeply interconnected. We believe that student wellbeing is the responsibility of every member of our school community.
Enrolments for year 6-7 transition begin in Term 1, with applications due in May. For students moving schools in other year levels, enrolments can be made via the enrolment form. To get a closer look at what Footscray High School has to offer, we invite you to book a school tour.
Footscray High School is proud to be part of The Footscray Learning Precinct, which champions excellence in learning and teaching in Melbourne's inner west across all stages of education. The Precinct builds on the richness and diversity of the community, providing unique opportunities for learning.
Thanks to a record investment of over $110 million since 2015 from the Victorian Government, The Precinct offers fantastic opportunities from early learning through to tertiary pathways.
Our Kinnear Campus is one of our two Junior 7-9 campuses at Footscray High School. We also have the purpose-built Pilgrim Campus, which caters to students in the same year levels.
At Footscray High School, learning extends far beyond the classroom. We take great pride in our rich and diverse co-curricular culture, offering extensive programs that inspire and challenge a wide range of passions and interests.
It's worth noting that Footscray High School is accredited under the Department of Education and Training's CRICOS registration, ensuring the highest standards of education. For further information, please visit www.study.vic.gov.au.

"I FINSHED THERE IN 1997, IT WAS A GOOD SCHOOL I THOUGHT, GREAT MUSIC PROGRAM."
"the education is very well studied and the teachers are amazing. mental health is something this school has focused on making it enjoyable for every student to learn"
"I graduated from here a few years ago. The school wasn't bad, most of the teachers did try their best, while a select few just absolutely shouldn't be in the teaching profession. I will admit, there were some teachers at the school who were absolutely unforgettable and did their job to the best of their ability and knew how to engage their students. The thing i valued the most about my time at FCC was the individuality of the school, the school had it's own vibe and it's own culture unlike the other run of the mill white bread public schools around us. But unfortunately this didn't really last long because now FCC is just trying to attract overprotective yuppy parents and now it's becoming another run of the mill public school. But that's probably because the school has to keep up with the demand of the young yuppy families that are infesting the west (thanks gentrification!) so i can't blame them. But personally, i do miss the school. It was a unique and nice place during my time there. I'd give it a solid 7/10."
"teachers and co-coordinators are similar to prison guards recently, Everything has become revolved around money and being people pleasers. School should be about learning and not just passing. a select few teachers (usually younger ones) are extremely respectable, others give kids major anxiety and obviously get kicks from making kids feel like its a crime to wear GREY SOCKS. I want my children to feel safe and not hounded by teachers, many parents are attracted to the freedom kids can have, its what makes FCC different."
"Great school, but has been getting more and more concerned with their image, and because of such has been introducing new uniform policies which either don't look good, or are unreasonably priced for the general family household income of students who attend there. Some great teachers, but there's some Sergio ones as well"
