About the Business
Welcome to Altona Tennis Club, located in the heart of Altona, within the City of Hobsons Bay. As the largest tennis facility in Melbourne's western region, we offer a premier tennis experience for players of all ages and skill levels.
Our club boasts 11 beautifully maintained courts, all equipped with floodlights, allowing our members to enjoy the game year-round and well into the evenings. Recently resurfaced and revamped, our courts are brand new, with 5 classic clay courts and 6 en-tout-cas (porous) courts.
At Altona Tennis Club, we prioritize the education and development of our junior members, providing them with a nurturing environment to grow their skills. We also offer recreational and competition programs for adults and seniors, ensuring there is something for everyone.
Our dedicated coaching partner, Vida Tennis, is committed to helping players reach their full potential. As a special offer, new participants can enjoy a free introductory lesson to experience the high-quality coaching our club provides.
In recognition of our commitment to excellence, Altona Tennis Club was ranked the 33rd club in the state for participation by Tennis Victoria in 2019. Additionally, our esteemed head coach, Mark Peel, was honored as the Club Coach of the Year in 2020 by Tennis Coaches Australia Victoria.
Our centrally located clubhouse is the hub of social activity, complete with change rooms, a kitchen, and toilet facilities. It is the perfect place to relax and connect with fellow tennis enthusiasts after a thrilling match.
Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics, a seasoned player seeking competitive challenges, or simply want to enjoy a friendly game of tennis, Altona Tennis Club welcomes you with open arms. Bookings are available on weekdays and weekends, so come and play on our beautiful synthetic clay courts.
