"In the ocean of cafes that is Newtown, Beantown is a family-run gem that doesn't try to be anything that it isn't. The coffee is consistently good and the service is always friendly. The limited menu of toasties and rolls is tasty and reasonably priced, I would recommend the grilled chicken and avo. Some items can be a little oily but this doesn't bother me. The space feels cosy and the lack of music makes it a very pleasant place to enjoy coffee, read or get some work done. It's also one of the only cafes in Newtown that stay open late. Definitely a local business worth supporting."
