"Visited this easy-going cafe for a lazy Sunday brunch since I’ve heard a few good things about the place but never ever tried it out until now. It was easy to get a seat but by the time we left, it was packed! And for good reason! The coffee is good and the food is even more delicious! And everything is relatively well-priced. We went for a savoury (Croque Madame) as well as a sweet option (French Toast). Croque Madam was a little underwhelming as I’ve had much tastier ones elsewhere but it was still a good bite. The French Toast on the other hand was a little more unexpected - in a good way. The toast itself was encrusted in what I think we’re cornflakes to give the bread some texture and crunch, which isn’t your typical French Toast but it definitely added some dimension to it and we thoroughly enjoyed this dish. We enjoyed it so much that other patrons dining outside noticed us eating it and asked us what we ordered. To top it off, the service is friendly and a delight!"

"Came here in a group of six in the morning on the 12th of May. Ordered the breakfast plate with poached eggs, chorizo, bacon and haloumi. Food was very overcooked and dry. Ordered a large taro latte and was given a regular. Poached eggs were hardboiled - as was the rest of the group's. Toast was rock hard. Onion rings almost burnt to a crisp. Disappointing as I used to come here regularly and I remember everything used to be perfect. The menu itself and the ingredients are great, but are let down by the kitchen staff."

"A friend first brought me to Double Barrel in 2019, and since then I’ve been hooked! I’m a regular because the food is delicious and beautifully presented, the coffee is just lovely, the atmosphere is very chill, and the staff are so friendly. Always attentive, they really strive to provide the best experience. The owner, Jason, is wonderful to chat with and so hard-working. I see no reason not to return week after week and often bring my friends! Eggs benny is my favourite dish and the coffee really is superb. Try Raspberry Candy sometime!"

"We were happy with this cafe and its service, friendly and very warm. The food was presented well and very pretty. We ordered Acai Bowl and Avo Breakfast and those food were delicious and refreshing. They also serve the best coffee in the town. I surely will come back again."
