About the Business

Welcome to Manly Cove Tidal Pool, located in the picturesque town of Manly, Australia. Situated in Manly Cove, our institution is a popular establishment and point of interest for both locals and tourists.
Manly Cove is a bustling hub, with ferries arriving every half an hour, bringing in visitors eager to explore the beauty of Manly. Our tidal pool is particularly beloved by families with young children, as it offers calm waters, with the western half protected by a shark net and boat access further on. You can relax and enjoy the beach while your little ones play safely in the water.
For those looking for a break from the sand, there are plenty of grassy shaded areas with picnic tables and benches. Take a leisurely stroll along the beach and you'll come across a walkway that represents the pathway of Olympians. This walkway is a tribute to the more than 100 years of Manly residents who have represented Australia in the Olympic Games, both Summer and Winter. With over 80 plaques commemorating these athletes, it is a living history that continues to expand after each Olympic Games.
Continuing along the walkway, you'll reach the Manly Art Gallery and Museum, a center for arts, culture, and creativity on the Northern Beaches. Immerse yourself in the vibrant local arts scene and explore the diverse exhibitions and collections.
Manly Cove is also the starting point for the Manly to Spit Bridge 10km one-way scenic walk. Before embarking on this breathtaking journey, be sure to visit the Manly Visitor Information Centre, where you can collect a free map of the walk and receive valuable tips from the locals on the best places to eat, drink, and explore in Manly.
At Manly Cove Tidal Pool, we also want to acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians and their Country on which we gather today. We recognize and honor the Aboriginal people, their Elders past, present, and emerging, as well as the spirits and ancestors of the Clans that lived in this area. By acknowledging them, we show our respect and appreciation for their rich cultural heritage.
Come and experience the beauty and history of Manly Cove Tidal Pool. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day at the beach, a cultural exploration, or an adventurous walk, there's something for everyone at our institution.
Reviews
"Manly Cove Tidal Pool. You’ll find it down by the jetty landing, between the Corso and the Gallery, where you can watch the Manly Ferry cut its way to Circular Quay as you slip into the salty water to practice your Australian Crawl. Feeling really bloody Strayan for finally swimming at this iconic location, in a very large netted enclosure with views that go all the way to the Heads, we liked this one and would return if in the ‘hood and the parking gods were feeling amenable."
"Such a great netted ocean pool right on Sydney Harbour in Manly Cove. West Manly Cove beach on West Esplanade is a very family friendly beach as the kids can play away in the pool. The western end up near Manly Pavilion is quite protected from the wind when there is a southerly coming through."
