Reviews
"Had the tsukemen with spice bomb and chicken kaarage. The broth had a good flavour and was hot but very salty but the noodles and topping came cold. I recommend the kaarage. The service was average I wish they had taken our orders instead of making customers go to the counter because of the limited space in the restaurant."
"Very happy with the service and quality of ramen. We had to wait a bit as we didn’t have any reservations but they were very accommodating. Price is okay too."
"It's a nice ramen place. There are many styles, the old menu was nicer, now it has changed a bit this year. The noodles don't seem as springy as last time, we'll see again."
"If you know of ramen you know that Manpuku (Chatswood) is one of the best in Sydney. I won't say that the Kingsford one is like the Chatswood one every time, just that when we went, it really was as good as Chatswood. The great: - the egg. They serve a whole egg and it's perfectly molten - no ooze, more on the done side to molten. - the soup. Signature long name is balanced in taste and texture, thick but not too thick, on the border of savoury, fragrant. I enjoyed the burnt notes and the funk of the black gyokai too. The fun: - noodle thickness is different for different soups, which is a nice touch of detail. Shows that they care. - at $20ish a bowl, they are remarkably in line price-wise with the midrange spots. Did they just not hike prices? In addition to being great ramen they're now a strong contender for value, for what you get. The meh: - food can take a bit of time to arrive. It is what it is. All this is to say that Kingsford and its surrounds are lucky to have access to great ramen, so check it out if you have the cravings."
