About the Business
Welcome to Jamison Park, a premier establishment and tourist attraction located in South Penrith, New South Wales. Our newly completed multi-use synthetic sports facility is a testament to our commitment to providing the community with top-notch recreational opportunities.
This $4 million project, funded by the NSW Government and Penrith City Council, is part of our Sport and Recreation Strategy. We are proud to have received contributions from the Nepean Football Association as well. With an advanced synthetic surface, our facility offers year-round access to a high-quality space that is more durable than traditional turf fields. This upgrade has the potential to double the weekly capacity of the facility, supporting increased participation in sports and recreation.
Operating from 5:00 am to 10:30 pm daily, our synthetic facility is available for a variety of organized sports and competitions throughout the year. Council conducts an annual expression of interest process for seasonal bookings, ensuring that the fields are properly prepared and catered to each season. We also encourage clubs, community groups, and schools to utilize the field for casual sporting competitions, programs, carnivals, and major championships. To book the facility for casual use, please visit our website.
We do require personal trainers and commercial fitness groups to book with the Council before use. However, please note that gym equipment cannot be used on the synthetic surface. For more information, please refer to our Conditions of Play.
In addition to organized activities, the broader community is welcome to enjoy the facility for general recreation and unorganized activities when there are no booked activities taking place. We want everyone to have a chance to experience the benefits of our synthetic facility.
Safety and field maintenance are of utmost importance to us. Hirers are responsible for conducting risk assessments and considering weather conditions before proceeding with bookings. Footwear should be clean before entering the field, and all participants must adhere to our Conditions of Play to prevent field damage and prolong the life span of the synthetic facility.
We value the community's feedback, as it helps us improve the facility. Please email your feedback to the provided address.
For your convenience, the facility is available for casual bookings Monday to Friday from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm and on Saturdays from 5:00 am to midday. Bookings are subject to availability at the time of the request.
We are also excited to announce that construction will begin in early 2022 to install spectator seating, enhancing the overall experience for both participants and spectators.
Parking options include the internal roads and car parks of Jamison Park, as well as street parking.
We kindly request that corner flags and goalposts be returned and locked into storage cages following each booking. It is recommended that you take a photo of the equipment before returning it to the storage areas to avoid any disputes regarding repair or replacement costs.
Please note that events with large structures, such as markets, festivals, and carols, cannot take place on the synthetic surface.
Lastly, we would like to inform you that our Council Civic Centre and Libraries are now open under the restrictions of the NSW Government's Public Health Order. Our operating hours are from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
We invite you to explore and enjoy the state-of-the-art facilities at Jamison Park, where sports, recreation, and community come together.
