"GAT RESTAURANT, KELLIVLLE is the WORST RESTAURANT! This place has the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered at a Thai restaurant. I’ve ordered here many times because of the close proximity to my house. Today, 11 Feb 2023, I called them to order green curry with duck.. they refused to make it for me at first because they “only serve red curry with duck” although I’ve ordered green curry with duck several times there. Eventually, they agreed to do it for me with an additional $4 charge which I was fine with. I told them I wanted it a little spicy. Upon arriving home with the food, although it smelled like it, it didn’t look like green curry because it was red/orange in colour and upon tasting it, I burned my tongue and mouth from all the spice. For someone who loves spice and can take spice very well, I couldn’t believe how insanely spicy this food was. I immediately called them to advise and after speaking to 3 different ladies because of language barrier, they told me that they had used chilli powder instead of fresh chillies, hence the spicyness. I guess that also explains the red/orange colour. I asked if I could return it and they blatantly refused and told me they couldn’t do anything about it. I told them how often I order from them but they still refused and said nothing could be done about it before the lady rudely hanged up on me. I’m still in shocked from this whole ordeal. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE AGAIN REGARDLESS OF THE CLOSE PROXIMITY TO MY HOUSE! Disgusting service!"
