"Heraghty's is the kind of pub Nuala O'Faolain had in mind in this paragraph from "Are You Somebody": There is hardly a spot in the country that doesn't have, near enough to hand, a nice, quiet, dim bar with the glasses all shiny and a peaceful barman. In those numinous spaces love-affairs are begun and ended, family crises are face...deals are done. This could be said of the other pubs in Manorhamilton (which must surely have the highest great-pubs-per-capita in the country), but Heraghty's certainly fits that description."

It's a genuine old pub run by the Heraghty family...mostly Darrach now....it's trendy but cosy live music no food but you can have a party there with caterers anytime or an impromptu session! Great music there weekly including a Sunday session from 6 to 8. Just love it! It's the real deal!"
