"myself and 7 other of my friends visited this pub as we were touring around Leitrim. As we entered the pub staff was completely unfriendly and refused to serve us even though we were no ways drunk or meant any harm! he claimed it was a local pub and there was children on the premises. I am utterly disgusted that we had been treated like this and when he finally let us have a drink we all felt uncomfortable as he made it clear we were only staying for the one drink and the one drink only. Members of the public clearly are not welcome here and have i never seen a pub like this in my life and i am glad to say i wont be coming back!!!"

"Situated on the Main Street in the very picturesque and historical village of Jamestown, Co. Leitrim, no more than a few hundred metres from the River Shannon. Mulvey's Arch Bar is a warm and welcoming village hostelry. We arrived one evening as five weary travellers with a small dog in tow, having tied up our cruiser at Ardanaifrinn Bridge a couple of miles away and we were all made feel very welcome as soon as we walked in The establishment was buzzing when we arrived and the clientele were predominantly locals, most familiar enough with "foreign" accented strangers arriving out of the blue from the direction of the River Shannon. The bar itself is quite obviously very popular locally and we found it to be pleasant, comfortable, clean and an absolute pleasure to visit. Despite it being busy enough, there were no delays with being served and the prices were great as well. The owner is very friendly and genuinely went out of his way to make us feel welcome, which we very much appreciated. It's the sort of place that we still talk about months later and we're looking forward to visiting again. We enjoyed our visit and if you find yourself in the area, make sure to pop in. This is a true gem and one not be be missed."
