"Absolutely lovely place, great food and very reasonably priced. Got a personal tour by a family member that was wonderful. A short and very pretty drive from Parke’s Castle."

"Lovely wee spot for a bite of lunch and a look at the interior of the place. Stunning old pub interior."

"Love this place...unique and truly old authentic pub if you fancy a pint...if its a coffee you fancy...beautifully crisp modern but with a vintage twist and fabulous outdoor setting to seat many people."

"'Greeted' by a scruffy, unfriendly male. We ordered 2 pints of soda water+lime from him as we waited for 2 others in our cycling party (Loch Gill 40km). He abruptly suggested that we should move a bicycle which wasn't in anybody's way. He then produced 2 pints of plain soda water requiring us to request orange instead - no apology or initiative, basic service! "COVID cert required" on a sign at the front door so we sat outside. It was chilly weather so we ordered 2 hot chocolates to warm us up. It was basic hot chocolate powder. When the other 2 of our party arrived, we ordered a round of tea. As it was too cold and too late (just turned 1700) to order food, we had a bite of the snacks from our bags. He rudely stared at the food that we were snacking on + derisively asked if we were "looking for food". As he turned out to be an obnoxious little man I explained, "it's a piece of cake"... As I paid ~£20 at the bar, I realised that our 2 soda waters cost 3.40€ each! We had left a wrapper from our snack on the table, + as we left he asked if the rubbish was ours, childishly holding it out in his hand for us to take. I explained "it's obviously rubbish" - there was no bin outside. POOR customer service. AVOID."

"Very disappointing attitude towards dogs. We were hoping to have a pint after a lovely hike and noticed this bar had a little snug type room at the front so I asked the barman if could we bring our small dog in and he blank refused. In an era where Ireland is starting to catch up with the rest of Europe and more and more restaurants, bars, cafes, hotels and airbnbs are welcoming our four legged friends it's a shame to see such a backward attitude."
