"Ethel is a wonderful hostess, her house lovely and tidy with a view on the lake. It’s located near oughterard where you’ll find everything to eat and shop, it’s also located 25 mn drive from Galway and you can go and visit the charms of Connemara easily. Don’t hesitate, this is the place to stay to feel like home even in vacation !"
"We stayed here only one night but wished we were here for more. The room was massive and the house was beautiful and old. You overlook the lake and it is so peaceful and picturesque. We popped into a Castle just up the lane and it was one of our favourite spots. We would love to go back and do some fishing in the lake. Ethel was lovely and the food was great."
"This is a beautiful home built in the 1750's, at the edge of the largest lake in Ireland. The ladies who run the family home are gracious & hospitable. The breakfast's are all you could ask for to start your day. Baking done on a daily basis would rival your grandmother's any day. Thank you ladies for sharing your home with us!
