"We enjoyed our stay at the Carraroe Hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the host Cathal is a thorough gentleman. Good location in the middle of Carraroe. Excellent pint of Guinness."

"I had a great weekend of fishing and golf in the Carraroe area with some good friends recently. We stayed in the Carraroe Hotel for two nights and the staff were extremely helpful during our stay. We hope to return again next Summer. For golf, I would definitely check out the Connemara Isles Golf Club."

"Amazing location, the scenery around this area is beautiful. The cottages are cosy and unique. The lodges are very large and modern. Everything you need is on site or the the lodge if you choose it. There is plenty of parking, a little playground onsite and plenty to do and see in the area. The owner and manager is friendly and approachable, I had no complaints and neither did those travelling with my family."

"In fairness we didnt stay the night, but we hadn't booked the Fawlty Towers experience either! Photos on google are not representative of the location. Dated and in need of significant repairs and upgrades even to fit their 2 star billing! Have visited hostels that have provided more modern and fitting accommodation for families. To be fair the proprietor was understanding and didnt take the booking deposit! That was was aminor silver lining to a very grey cloud!"

"Perfectly adequate budget accommodation. Room clean and bed comfortable, loads of instant hot water. Very old premises and in the process of basic renovations. James is a top fella struggling along with his leg in a brace. Breakfast selection could be better a few different cereals and an odd yoghurt would be good. More staff drastically required. Outdoors needs refreshed but all in all a work in progress, kinda sad to see what was clearly once a modern busy premises with great function areas get so tired . Would stay again no problem."
